6. Combining or Merging of images

The other sort of image editing is combining. Many graphics applications are capable of combining one or more individual images into a single picture. The orientation and placement of each image can be controlled. The two examples shown below are combined images

The first example illustrates the combination of two images by selecting pixels of either image following a chessboard pattern rule. This can be used to make associations between two images

The Gating operator combines A and B using C as a selector.


In this case combining child’s face with supermarket code suggests commercial exploitation of children. This can also be used to create dream like images and link images that have a common connection.
